Rooting for a greener future with parental involvement!
Throughout this project, we have planned activities that require parental involvement as well! We believe that whatever that is being taught at school to the children should be reinforced at home as well with their loved ones.
Both the parents and children had enjoyable and meaningful experiences through the activities planned for them.
Children were tasked to create a game, making use of recyclables. Together with their parents, children discussed ideas that would make the game fun and engaging, despite only using recycled materials.
Through this activity, both the parents and children realised that commercial toys are not necessary for children to have fun. There are many more things they can do with the use of only recycled materials.
This allows us to have fun while being mindful of this Earth we call home!
Children were also tasked to grow a plant with their families at home! We provided each child with seeds, soil and a pot. They brought the items home and took care of their own plants with the help of their parents.
The children and parents took care of the plant diligently, watering them regularly and ensuring that an appropriate environment is provided for the plant to grow well.
The children and parents had a wonderful time taking care of the plant!
