Little Acts, Big Hearts! - Kindness Project with N2 Class

N2 students embarked on a captivating exploration of the themes “Kindness and Love” through a poster from the Newspaper they encountered. Children eagerly shared their thoughts about the image, discussed the character depicted and reflected on their recent MRT experiences where they had seen the same poster.

Child A said: “Tan Kah Kee MRT”

Finding out: What is Love and Kindness?

We had a discussion on Children’s Perspectives about Love and Kindness and children’s voices were noted down .

In-house discussion: How is Kindness practiced in the community?

N2 class invited the whole school to attend this talk conducted by SBS on Safety, Graciousness and Kindness while taking public transport.

Finding out: What does Kindness look like in our lives? - Parents took this challenge with the class by taking public transport/walk to school rather than driving by car. Through this, they showed kindness to the Earth.

Further unpacking: First visit to Sixth Ave MRT station about their Kindness practices to the commuters.

How did we approach this?

  • Through school community interactions with the staff of SBS Transit

  • Parents Partnership to highlight the importance of Kindness

  • Promoting Inclusiveness

SSDB Launch Party- Celebrating Kindness day with SBS Transit on the 15th of May 2024.

Children had opportunities to: *Create Kindness cards
