With the help of technology, the K1 and K2 children from our centre and Fei Yue EIPIC (Wellington) (FY) were able to meet one another virtually.
During these sessions, the children carried out a variety of activities, which enabled them to forge new friendships. Not only that, the children from our centre had the opportunity to learn more about their friends with autism.
Saying hello to one another
For the first session, our children shared about themselves and their school life by sharing videos of their day in a life of a PCF Preschool student.

Afterwards, they moved and grooved to some of our students’ favourite songs. They all did an amazing job!

Before ending the first session, the children were given ample time to interview one another. They asked intriguing questions such as:
-
Where is your school?
-
Who is your teacher?
-
What do you like to eat?
-
What is your favourite toy/cartoon?
-
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Through this activity, our children learnt that they had many things in common with their friends with autism.
