The last two sessions with Fei Yue (EIPIC) had been a blast! Sadly, all things must come to an end. The children had a lot of fun interacting with one another, especially with friends from outside our centre. Our children have learnt a lot about our new friends and could not wait to see them again soon!
Before they said goodbye, the children had prepared a Show-and-Tell session for one another, where all children were given opportunities to share their favourite items from home or in school.

Afterwards, the children were engaged in an art reflection activity, where they had to draw their favourite memory from the sessions! Their artworks were then put together to form a collage.

Lastly, the children danced to Fei Yue (EIPIC)’s favourite song, “Banana Cha Cha” while the teachers sprung into action to put their artworks into a collage.

Once the dance was over, teachers showed the children the collage of their artworks. The children bid farewell to their new friends and hoped they could see one another again soon.It was truly a unique and eye-opening experience for the children as they forged friendships with friends with additional needs through an online platform. Though it sounded a little challenging at first, the children showed that they had an enjoyable time with their friends through the fun activities planned.
Through this experience, the children learnt that a person with additional needs can also share many similarities with them, and could also participate in activities together with them. They learnt the importance of embracing one another’s differences and appreciating someone for who they are.
