With the recent COVID-19 outbreak, all healthcare frontline personnel have been putting up a strong and hard battle.
Through the current affair interactive board, teachers provided opportunities for the children to be aware of what is happening around them. Through the show-and-tell sessions, children were given opportunities to share their experiences and ask questions to seek for clarification. To our surprise, children as young as playgroup were able to share their thoughts in their very special ways. For the older children who parents are healthcare personnel also shared how hard their parents have been working.
The children felt thankful of what these heroes and heroines have been doing through this difficult time. Hence, we decided to design a thank-you card to show our appreciation.
All our staff and children (from Infant to K2 students) came together in making of our very own big thank-you card. Finally, our thank-you card was done and ready for display. It was being placed at the main entrance where parents visit daily. It warmed our heart so much when parents kept smiling while they were reading the card.
“This is so sweet!”
“Wow, this is so encouraging. I am so touched. It has been really a tough fight for us.”
“This is the first time that I see a big thank-you card.”
These were some of the responses from our parents.
Little did we know, a little step from us actually carried such a big encouragement to those who are still in the midst of the challenges.
“Not all heroes wear cape” and here at PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ LIMBANG 543 (EY) we are thankful for the healthcare frontline heroes and heroines who are doing their best to protect everyone from this virus. We are with you, we are one. Together, we can overcome this crisis!
