The theme for this year National Day Parade (NDP) is ‘#OneNationTogether’ and our children were inspired to celebrate Singapore 52th birthday together with the elderly at St Luke’s Elder Care. Children used their DIY musical instruments for song performances, played traditional Singapore games like ‘Five stones, Kuti Kuti and Pick-up sticks’ and also did craft work such as making orchid flower with the elderly. Through this celebration, everyone will be reminded that we belong as one people and one nation regardless of our origin and background. Children has also learn to appreciate and give thanks to our pioneer generations for all their effort in building and taking Singapore to greater heights. Finally we summed up our celebration by presenting a gift made with bottle caps to everyone at St Luke’s Eldercare.
