Following part 1 of our project to clean up the area around our neighbourhood, the N2 children made use of the leaves and twigs they picked up and converted it into an artwork.
They were each given pieces of leaves picked up during the clean-up project and they painted on the leaves to create patterns. Thereafter, the children printed the leaf painting on a piece of paper to create the wings of a butterfly. Finally, they pasted the twig in the middle to represent the body of the butterfly.
During the activity, one of the children said, “Teacher, we use the leaf the caterpillar eat to make the butterfly!”. It was a great way to connect to the nature and turning them into beautiful artwork while keeping our neighbourhood clean and tidy! Great job, N2 children!
