The N2, K1 and K2 children started with their small steps to save mother earth campaign. They planned together with the group on what steps they could help save mother earth. They are interested in doing neighbourhood clean-up, recycling and planting activities with their friends.
They started collecting boxes and created their DIY recycling bins.
They visited the neighbourhood, nearby park and playground to do a clean-up drive.
Their parents were also involved in the activity thus they provided recyclable materials for the children to practice the 3Rs and at the same time create crafts using those recyclable materials.
The recyclable materials they have collected were used to create crafts and were displayed in their classrooms.
In order to learn about plants and how to start their planting activity, they visited Gardens by the bay to find out the importance of plants in saving mother earth.(In Partnership with IGP)
Back to the centre they used recyclable bottles and started with their planting activity.
