On 26 July 2024, MindChamps Performing Arts Preschool at Upper Thomson embarked on a meaningful adventure with their parents to make a positive impact on the environment. The group participated in a beach clean-up event, dedicated to picking up litter and conserving marine biodiversity.
The preschoolers, accompanied by their parents, gathered at the beach, eager to contribute to the conservation effort. With gloves and trash bags in hand, they set out to collect discarded waste and debris that threatened the marine ecosystem.
This hands-on experience allowed the children to understand the importance of protecting the environment and the impact of human actions on marine life. By participating in the beach clean-up, they developed essential values such as responsibility, empathy, and stewardship.
The collective effort resulted in a significant amount of trash being removed from the beach, including plastic bottles, food wrappers, and microbeads. This initiative helped to preserve the natural habitat of marine creatures and promote a healthier environment.
The beach clean-up event not only made a tangible difference but also instilled a sense of pride and accomplishment in the children. MindChamps Performing Arts Preschool at Upper Thomson hopes to continue inspiring young minds to care for the environment and make a positive impact in their community.
