For this year’s Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) project, MK@Westwood collaborated with Down Syndrome Association. We embarked on this project so that we can promote inclusiveness and awareness on Down Syndrome.
We aim to provide friendship, care, and support for the children and adults with Down Syndrome through many meaningful activities.
During the launch party we invited Ms Suly from the Down Syndrome’s Association to share more about Down Syndrome.
The children were so excited when we revealed the banner.
Ms Suly reading a book called “My Name is Alyss. I have Down Syndrome”.
She also showed us a book about many different people with down syndrome and invited the children to pick someone so that she could share more information about them!
We then picked out some ambassadors to represent the school in spreading the word.
