For our SSDB project, our K1 and K2 children wanted to embark on finding out how they can give back to the community in terms of showing appreciation to others.
Where we had a pre-discussion to visit the seniors at Orange Valley Nursing Home, we were dismayed to find out the unfortunate Covid-19 news and had to put our project on hold.
After we came back from our circuit breaker, our children decided to make minor changes their SSDB project and find out how they can still show their appreciation towards the seniors without being physically present!
As we embarked on this journey, the children were enthusiastic in creating craftworks for the seniors that will hopefully help to put a smile on their faces during this trying period.
With the additional help and support from our K1 and K2 parents, we compiled some donations and handed over to the Orange Valley representative.
The representative was then able to pass the donations to the seniors from different Orange Valley branches!
Subsequently, as one of our K2 friends lived near Orange Valley at The Marsiling branch, the parents agreed to help us pass the handicrafts to the nurses at Orange Valley! 😊
