Our 3rd Virtual community outreach activity with the seniors at the NTUC SAC was hosted by our Playgroup Teachers and their Champs. We began with a simple introduction of our Champs followed by an exchange of greetings with Ah Gongs and Ah Mahs. Although our little Champs are still learning to express their thoughts verbally, their adorable looks and gestures immediately brought great joy to the seniors. Our Champs were also excited to see new faces on the projector screen and could not resist touching it. Led by their teachers, they engaged Ah Gongs and Ah Mahs in action songs, rhymes, dances, and animal charades. The seniors were also invited to compete with our Champs in a simple game “Find the Hidden Animals”. While the PG teachers helped their Champs to complete the game, Ah Gongs and Ah Mahs at the other end worked conscientiously to complete it with the help of our Principal, Ms Jamie who was at NTUC SAC. It was a good opportunity for them to exercise their visual perception. It also gave them a great sense of achievement upon completion. The virtual community outreach activity ended with a drum performance by our PG Champs with guidance from their teachers. One of the best ways to bring joy to others is to spend time with them. This short virtual activity has helped to brighten up the day for the seniors. Little Champs with big hearts!
