Let’s Save Endangered Animals!

As part of the theme “Animal Kingdom” in term 2, children were introduced to endangered animals through a talk, Wildlife Conservation conducted online by World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

The K1 and K2 children embarked on a mini project to learn more about the endangered animals as well as endangered reptiles and amphibians. Towards the end of the project, children created artworks of animals that they have learnt. Children from other levels were also involved by creating art pieces of animals or insects that they learnt about.

An art gallery spanning across two days was held to showcase the children’s crafts as we raised funds for the endangered wildlife conservation by WWF. The funds raised were presented in person to WWF!

To conclude the project, children visited the Singapore Zoo and identified animals which are endangered. The children definitely displayed a sense of wonder as they asked if some of the other animals are endangered and learnt to read the signages at the zoo!
