Lesson 5 - Recycling [19.08.2021
We are reaching the end of our “Start Small Dream Big” project. In this lesson, we watched a video on “What is recycling?” by Polly Olly. We discussed on the importance of recycling and learned about the 3Rs - Reduce, Reuse & Recycle.
We were introduced to the different colour-coded recycling bins made from cardboards. It was awesome to know that different colour-coded recycling bins are meant for different recyclable materials. What really amazed us was that all these recyclable materials can be easily found at home!
The recycle symbol!
Each of the three arrows represent one step in a three-step process that forms a closed loop, the recycling loop. The first arrow - collection of recyclable materials. The second arrow - manufacturing of recyclable materials into new products. The third arrow - using products made from recyclable materials.
It’s our turn to do our part. Let’s reduce, reuse and recycle! Red bin for plastic, yellow bin for metal and blue bin for paper.
