This year, Jamiyah Kindergarten proudly participated in the Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) Presidential Challenge 2024 by partnering with the National Environment Agency (NEA) for a beach cleanup. Supported by the Ministry of Sustainability and Environment, our initiative was part of the GO GREEN SG campaign, aimed at promoting environmental responsibility and sustainable practices.
On the day of the event, families arrived with enthusiasm, armed with recycled plastic bags to collect litter from the beach. This activity provided a valuable lesson for both children and parents about the importance of keeping our surroundings clean. It also offered a wonderful opportunity for families to bond and for parents to connect with one another.
After the cleanup, everyone gathered for a relaxed chit-chat session, sharing delicious food and building a sense of community among parents, children, and teachers. This informal gathering helped strengthen the relationships within our kindergarten family, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
To conclude the day, our dedicated teachers organized fun physical activities to reward the children for their environmental responsibility. Overall, the beach cleanup was a meaningful and impactful event, demonstrating Jamiyah Kindergarten’s commitment to environmental education and community engagement. We are proud to be part of the GO GREEN SG campaign and look forward to more opportunities to contribute to a cleaner, greener future.
Thank you,
With regards,
Jamiyah Kindergarten
