The 31 children from K1 were expectantly passionate when both their teachers shared the “Project” to bless the community helpers in the neighbourhood. They brainstormed likely ways they could share their love. It was a list of more than 30 ideas and after a consensus, the K1 settled amiably for the idea of preparing cups full of fruits for the people in the neighbourhood.
On that chirpy morning, the boys and girls in K1 class cut the wedges of fruit into smaller pieces as they also attentively ensured to put into each cup the specified number of apples, papayas and grapes.
They worked swiftly with their plastic knives. It was this enthusiasm that fueled their efficiency and subsequently broke down their reservation approaching complete strangers in the coffee shop, economical mart, salon, etc. around the centre.
The children’s passion to share the “fruits” of their labour quickened their steps and touched all the recipient’s hearts, conspicuous on their facial expressions! Sweetened Smiles!
When the children returned after their “outreach”, they were airing their joy and excitement and were ready to talk about their next “project”.
