Everybody needs a little love and care. The whole ELFA community including children, parents, staff and teachers decided to create little care packages for the children and volunteers in the Arc Children’s centre.
Everyone was encouraged to donate different items that will be useful for them such as masks, sanitiser, stationary, snacks, mosquito patch and more. All the love came pouring in as we started the event.
The K1 and K2 children painted the boxes for donation.
Parents and children were also encouraged to decorate the bag for the care packages.
It was an event where everyone took part. The children were excited as they were sharing things to the children who are terminally ill as well as the people who takes care of them. The K1 and K2 children created some cards to share kind thoughts that will be placed inside the reusable mask packs.
After a few weeks, the children packed the reusable masks and cards inside the plastic. They also started packing the care packages inside the bag. Two bags were prepared: snack pack and the care pack.
Children’s excitement was seen as they were packing. They were sharing how the children from the Arc Children centre will be excited in receiving the care packages that they have created.
On 17th September 2020, staff from the Arc Children’s centre came to our centre to pick up the carepacks and snack packs for the children and volunteer. The children with excitement helped to bring the bags to the van. It was truly a memorable event.
