Today, the children from MMI Woodlands were visited by Jessie from Singapore Food Bank, for a talk about food wastage and ways to help the needy.
Singapore Food Bank is a place where people can donate their food which will then be collected and allocated to the needy.
The children learnt about food wastage - what happens to them, where it goes to and how we can help to reduce them.
They were also told about others out there who have not eaten because they simply do not have enough to put food on the table.
Not only does this talk educates the children on helping needy families, it also educates the children on giving back to the community.
The talk we had helps brings awareness to the children on what type of food that we can collect for our food drive.
The children had fun today and we would like to extend our gratitude to Jessie from the Food Bank team.
