PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Bishan North Blk 267 kicked off our Start Small Dream Big 2017 project with a day of fun activities and a trip to the park! Our project for this year focuses on environmental clean-up and recycling.
We learned the 3R’s cheer - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and did some activities to let the children have ideas on how to recycle cardboard boxes, newspapers and plastic bottles.
The children created an Earth model using cardboards and newspapers and self-watering starter pots using plastic bottles.
We visited the Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park as the second part of our launch event.
Our school has adopted the Kallang river at the Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park and we discussed about the do’s and don’ts that we should be aware of when visiting the park and the river. The children shared that by throwing our rubbish at the rubbish bin, we are helping to keep our place clean.
We also collected dried leaves for our FOOD COMPOST, our next activity for our Start Small Dream Big 2017 project.
