[Mid April]
In continuation of the gardening initiative, our school decided to turn waste materials into contributors for the plants. We collaborated with a nearby cafe, whereby children headed down to obtain coffee ground to use as fertilizers. Through the trip, children got to observe the production of coffee ground, and took turns to carry the bags of coffee ground back.
Back in school, everyone was invited to feed the soil with scoops of coffee ground, and learnt how it benefits the plants.
Through this, it enhanced the practice of upcycling and care for the environment.
