The EcoKids Programme is organised by North East Community Development Council. It provides a platform to inculcate environmental values in our pre-schoolers (Nursery, K1, and K2), who will in turn share the values learned with their family members.
The North East CDC wishes all the pre-schoolers will channel the positive vibes to their family when they engage in the eco-activities conducted.
For this event, the North East DC organizers and facilitators conducted an awareness talk with our K1 and K2 children on the importance of the caring for the environment by not damaging and being responsible not to litter but to keep it clean.
This is to promote environmental awareness and to inculcate good habits of reducing waste and environmental ownership.
It will be through various fun and interesting activities like interactive storytelling and participating in a repurposing activity of making the toilet/kitchen paper core into Environment Superhero Wristband.
On 21 February 2020 (Friday), our K2s participated “Green Adventure Workshop”.
“Which square do you want to flip?”
“Guess what is under the squares.”
“I know, it is Captain Green.”
“Puppet show reminds us to stop littering, clean our room, the ways to deal with leftover food, and the Mozzie Wipeout.”
“Now I know the sign language of “do not litter”.”
