On the eve of national day, 8th of August 2017, Little Footprints @Northstar had organized their first ever charity carnival. In collaboration with SPCA, we decided to raise some funds so that these finds can help with the animals’ medical, shelter and food necessities.
Since National Day was around the corner, most schools were on half day closure, hence it’s a good opportunity for parents to bring the older sibilings and the younger child to enjoy this meaningful and enjoyable family day event.
The K1 and K2 were trained to mend the stall with the help of our parent volunteers. Children and parents have so much fun during this carnival.
In conjunction to the theme with SSDB this year, “Recycling” most of our game stalls material used are recycled materials. Items such as soda bottles, recycled papers, cans and washed disposal utensils were used for props for the game stalls. They were simple yet create lots of fun and entertaining games for the children.
Overall, many of the K1 and K2 children had shown improvement in their communications during the sale while mending the stalls. Many tried initating to talk to other adults in order to get more customers in helping the animals.
