Introduction: As Singapore aims to reduce the amount of waste going to our landfill by 30% in 2030, we took the opportunity to introduce to the children the 3Rs and gathered children’s responses on their opinions and ideas about Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Questions were asked to get children to think and provoke their interests. “Why do we need to recycle?” “What will happen if you keep on throwing things without reusing them? Teachers also read a book titled Recycling by Child’s Play to broaden children’s knowledge on how they can contribute in little ways in practicing the 3Rs. Stay tune for our next story!
