The second phase of our project begins.
We used reusable materials to build our own recycling centre for everyone to use in the school.
We collected cardboard boxes from a nearby shop as a base for our recycling bins.
In small groups, children used old magazines to decorate the boxes.
Our recycling centre is ready!
We collaborated with parents to bring in recycled items from home for a month. Children then put into practice what they had learnt earlier on.
They sorted the recycled materials and made sure that all the materials were suitable for recycling.
We looked for the nearest recycling bin to the school and disposed all the recycled items we had collected.
Children were encouraged to look out for the blue recycle bins near their homes so they can continue recycling at home.
