When Tamimi Pohan parents’ knocked on countless preschools to enrol him, no one except Bethesda Depot Walk Kindergarten took him in. He is a boy with ‘Osteogenesis Imperfecta’. He is unable to stand on his own. Standing up will fracture more bones. Thus he is wheel chair bound. To prevent worsening of his condition, he had to be ferried to and from school by a ‘London cab’ which is wheel chair accessible. Daily commuting is expensive. Furthermore he has to raise funds to undergo a $10K recurrence operation to replace the metal rod in his leg that has gone out of alignment. As an alumnus of our school, we hope Tamimi will always find help from our kindergarten, where children enjoy learning and knowing God’s love.
SSDB Launch Party to welcome Tamimi home to our school.
The school started fund raising. Parents were informed of Sarina’s (Tamimi’s mom) home catering service. Some donated directly to their Gogetfunding website while others tried out their food.
