This year Father’s day was held outside the centre. It was held at East Coast Park on the 15th of June, Saturday. Family members were invited for a picnic on that day for a day of fun.
The celebration started of with a clean up of the beach in line with our SSDB theme Big Earth Little Me. We hope that by playing a small part in cleaning up the beach, we could help make the Earth a better place. The participants were briefed on the things they could pick up and the things that were not suppose to pick up. At the end of the activity, the participants had a short question and answer session to summarize the clean up activity.
The celebration continued with games and scavenger hunt for the families. The game include ‘roll the marble’ and ‘pass the baton’. The families were seperated into two team and were made to play versus one another. The game time concluded with a scavenger hunt for the families. A list of things were given for the families to find.
The day ended with a mini performance by the children for their fathers. Overall, it was an eventful day for all of us as we get to play a part in making the environment a better place well as spending happy time together as a family.
