Kiddiwinkie Schoolhouse @ Cactus decided to show our appreciation to the healthcare front-liners by packing welfare packages for doctors and nurses in Changi General Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Through the course of this project, our aim is to instill the values of appreciation and thankfulness in our children. We want children to remember the hard work and effort that the nurses and doctors have been putting in for Singapore while not giving up to care for those who are sick!
The children were introduced to who our Healthcare Front-liners are, what they do, and why are they so important in our community.
This helped the children to better understand the role of a Healthcare-Frontliner in our community and think about what will happen if there were no doctors and nurses in the midst of Covid’19.
Then, they did a simple dance as a gesture to show appreciation to our healthcare heros.
With the teacher’s help, children worked together to make soap bars using Goat’s milk soap base, essential oil, dried flowers and dried orange peels.
With the teacher’s help, children worked together to make hand sanitisers using rubbing alcohol, aloe vera gel and essential oil.
Children using their creativity to put together an art piece for our healthcare heroes!
