Engaging with parents is an integral part of our school community, and we recently organized a book donation drive to encourage parents to contribute their preloved books to our school. This initiative aimed to provide our children with a wide range of books in the classroom and support our future ‘MK Reads!’ programme.
By encouraging parents to donate their preloved books, we aimed to cultivate a sense of community and enable our children to experience the joy of reading.
Not only did we focus on books, but we also encouraged parents to contribute recyclable materials. We created our own recycling bins and encouraged parents to donate items such as paper, cardboard, and plastic materials. These recyclables served as valuable resources for our children during craft activities and lessons, promoting sustainability and creativity.
