Our Journey against Covid-19 begins…
Prior to the circuit breaker, our centre holds a regular talk and lesson about COVID-19 virus for the current affairs topic where children and teachers discussed the importance of being hygienic and socially responsible. The crisis the whole world is facing right now. Children become more aware of the virus as they learnt how and where it started and how it is spread locally and around the world. More importantly they have learnt the importance of taking good care of themselves and keeping the environment clean in order to reduce the spread of germs which is the best protection against the virus.
As we all play a part in fighting the virus, there is this group of wonderful people in our community who amid the danger and risk of the coronavirus step up and selflessly sacrifice themselves to be in the frontline in battling COVID 19, they are the Health Care Professionals, our modern-day heroes.
Our K1 and K2 children started with a Thank You card, poster and bookmarks writing their heartfelt wishes and messages to the medical staff for the day to day trials and ordeals they need to face in fighting coronavirus and in making everyone safe and virus free. Children also drew pictures how Frontline Staff look like with protective mask and gears on carrying equipment needed to save people’s lives. These small tokens are prepared by them to show appreciation and gratitude in their own little ways to this group of beautiful people.
