This is our centre’s third year embarking on Start Small, Dream Big journey. We are very excited to be a part of it once again. This year, we are embracing the theme on “Compassion for the Elderlies”.
Through this project, we aim to:
-
Show appreciation and compassion to the elderly through giving;
-
Build partnerships with the caregivers of the elderly;
-
Instill E-Bridge Pre-School’s core values in our school children.
We have invited our children from the Infant Care to Kindergarten 2 to take part in this project. They were encouraged to use recyclable materials to create art and crafts such as 3D paper flowers, cards and quilt letters; write poems and prepare performances and more.
Our focused core value for the month of June was ‘Sincerity’. Lead and assisted by their teachers, the children from the Infant Care and Pre-Nursery Classes started creating crafts using handprints and paper flowers.The infants used paints to create handprints all over a heart-shaped paper and added photos that suggest how to show sincerity to the people around them.
Meanwhile, the Pre-Nursery class designed their paper flowers by using markers to create different types of lines. This learning experience introduced lines as a basic element of art. Our N1 to K2 children will also be engaged in equally interesting and exciting learning experiences in line with our SSDB project theme.
