SSDB 2022 - “Our Family, Our Community”
Theme: To Keep Singapore Clean
We held the SSDB launch party on 11 May 2022. Children from N2 to K2 fully participated in our launching. They were informed of the goals of SSDB and the projects that we are going to do for the span of 6 months. Children were very excited about the projects that they are going to do to help and give back to the community.
During our discussion, children shared their ideal playground which is clean and safe. This is because clean playground makes happy parents and healthy kids!
Children met two mascots which are Captain Green and BlooBin.
Captain Green encouraged Singaporean to adopt a clean and green lifestyle with the 3R: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! Children will benefit on how to manage waste wisely.
BlooBin encouraged good recycling practice. They shared the materials can be recycled which are glass, paper, metal and plastic. They also be aware that only recycled materials can be discarded in the blue recycle bin whereas the other waste should be discarded in the normal dustbin.
At the end of the program, N2 children will coloured the provided poster. K1 and K2 children created their own poster to promote community to Save the Environment!
