To sum up all our efforts for SSDB 2018, the Centre organised a SSDB Charity Bazaar - with 100% of the proceeds going to World Willdlife Fund (WWF). In the lead up to the Bazaar, parents were encouraged to donated unused/pre-loved items (in good/working condition) to be put up for sale. After which, the donated items were vetted and packed by the teachers. Up for sale during the Bazaar, were the upcycled crafts made by the children across the different levels. Cupcakes, cookies and other yummy treats prepared by the teachers and students were included for sale!
There were a total of 6 booths during the Bazaar and they include:
Pre-Loved Items Booth
Crafts Booth
Food Booth
Henna Booth
2 Games Booth - Bean Bag Toss and Galton Box
What made the Bazaar even more special was that the booths were manned by our K2 students. The children helped to actively promote their booths whilst rendering friendly services.
Parents and children alike were definitely spoilt for choice with the wide array of booths made availabld to them!
As a result of everyone’s effort, we managed to raise a total of 800S$ for the WWF. It was indeed a heartening and meaningful journey for the children as they were involved in the different stages of the project! We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for all the parents who took the time to come down for the event and all the teachers involved in making SSDB 2018 such a huge success!!
