Prior to the event, our N2 to K2 children discussed and prepared the materials required for the set up of the vegetarian cafe. Children from the N2 class work together to make the signboard. The K1 and K2 children created the kindness badges to be sold on the day of the event. The K2 children also designed the menus.
Our K1 and K2 children set up a cafe in the centre’s meal room on 22 and 23 September 2022 between 3.30pm to 5.15pm. To manage the crowd, parents attended the event by appointment basis. In the process, children got the opportunity to prepare, serve and sell the food items to the customers.
With the profits from the sale, centre will be purchasing flowers as a token of appreciation to the nurses in Grace Lodge nursing home. Children will also be packing their handmade cards along with the flower for the nurses.
