The children learnt the importance of saving water to mark World Water Day.
Our project ‘Giving Back To Society’ aims for children to learn about scarcity of water, uses and purpose. This is also to instil awareness to children the importance of water to the society and the environment.
Teachers had a story telling session with the children using PUB’s initiative - ‘A Water Wally Adventure : The Surprise Visitor’.
Teachers also shared with children that; Water is for All : Conserve, Value and Enjoy.
The K1 and K2 children said that rainwater can be collected for use. Since it looked that it was going to rain, we placed pails outside the school to collect the rainwater.
We used the rainwater to water the school’s plants.
We also helped to flush and clean the toilet bowls.
The children enjoyed the activity and learnt a valuable lesson from it.
