The objective of this activity will be to encourage the children to make their pledge to save water. Prior to the activity, the children have a discussion on some of the ways which they can save water. These includes using a watering can to water the plants, use a pail when they help Mummy and Daddy to wash the car, not taking long showers and to recycle water as much as they can.
Then, the children were tasked to create and write their pledge onto their cards. These pledges were collated and displayed in our Centre. It is also a daily reminder for us not to waste our precious resource because, “Every drop counts!”
We have also learnt on the importance of water conservation through the water conservation videos. This is because if we continue to waste water, in the future, our water resources will be depleted and we might lack water.
Together, we can play our part!
