The children happily posed in front of the camera as while holding a banner that says “I Love You Dad”. Their pictures were printed out and pasted on their cards.
The children painted their hands with paint and created an impression of their hands on the paper. Their handprint symbolises their seal of love and gratitude for their fathers.
The children decorated their cards with their handprint and their pictures pasted inside. They also drew their dads and their family inside the card.
The children and their respective dads worked together during the cookery session. At first, they moulded the dough according to their preferred shapes and placed it on the paper plate. They then decorated their cookies with chocolate chips, almond nuts and raisins. It was indeed a fruitful activity as children got the opportunity to brainstorm and collaborate with their dads in creating cute cookies.
The children showcased their song and dance performance entitled “What A Wonderful Word” and then followed by “Happy Father’s Day” song. All fathers were of full smiles and happiness as they witness the performance of the children. They gave them loud cheers and massive applause.
For the next activity, children were paired together with their fathers and grandfathers. For this activity, the children were to complete the puzzle together with their fathers and grandfathers. They brought back the puzzle pieces at home as a memento to remember the Father’s Day Celebration.
For this game, it is a child versus father/grandfather game. Children were instructed to stand in a line alongside their fathers and grandfathers. To play, children, fathers and grandfathers were to step on the green footprint mat and pick up the bean bag on the floor and place it on their heads. They were to walk on the white line while balancing the bean bag on their heads. Following that, they need to step into the hula hoop and remove the bean bag from their heads and place it on the floor. The next step of the game would be to pick up the 3 balls on the floor and from where they were standing (in the hula hoop), and to throw all the balls into the containers. Then walk around the cone and hop from the cone, all the way back to where the green footprint mat is, and then next person in line will follow the same step until everyone got the chance to perform the game.
The next game involved fathers, grandfathers and children competing against each other by seeing who can bounce to the opposite end of the room first. The room was filled with enthusiastic laughter and cheers.
The celebration will not end well without an epic photo taking and giving out of cards. Every child got the opportunity to give their Father’s Day cards to their fathers while the teachers helped seize the moment by taking pictures. The Father’s day celebration is a great outlet for children to express their gratitude, affection and care towards their fathers at the same spend quality time with each other. The children happily brought home their cookies and ate together with their dads.
