After reading a book on recycling, the children decided to create 3 recycling bins - paper, plastic and metal.
In conjunction with the N1 children’s Innovation Grant Project, they also participated in our SSDB project, by setting a day called ‘Our Big Clean Up Day’. With support from their parents, the N1 children brought several unused materials from home that were made out of either paper, plastic or metal. These materials were then put into the respective bins. Some of these materials were also used to create farm animals.
Back to our K1 and K2 children, they also brought materials that can be recycled from home.
We explored making a paper bag using old newspapers and ribbons!
Then, the children sorted out the materials in the recycling bins and decided to only keep some for our own use and throw the rest in the big recycling bin that can be found in our neighbourhood.
