Our SSDB for this year has come to an end with a donation drive through the help of PCF Sparkletots MacPherson community.
The donation drive started in September, which we encouraged parents and the community to donate in kind materials needed of the Society for the Prevention of Animal Cruelty (SPCA), which we partnered with.
Pet food in sacks and a cage were the donations we handed to SPCA. Children’s artwork and letters to the volunteers and doctors of SPCA were given to them to show appreciation to their hard work for rescuing and taking care of pets.
This year’s SSDB has been impactful for the children as they learned the importance of being responsible pet owners by giving the needs of the pets.
Our centre is grateful for the support of parents and the teachers in making this year’s SSDB successful. Indeed, when everyone is making small steps, it leads to greater good. We hope that our simple donations would help the pets in the SPCA animal shelter and encourage the doctors and volunteers.
