After the launch of our SSDB project with Happy Villa, we have been visiting the elderly weekly. Children from Nursery, K1 and K2 took turns to do activities with the elderly. We had some performances, games activities and crafts with the elderly on different sessions. As for crafts, we did artist inspired artworks. The elderly were at first skeptical of using materials like paint, but children encouraged them and they enjoyed doing painting together after a few session of trying it together!
Through the time spent together since April, children and elderly had started to forge a beautiful relationship with each other. Heart warming conversation had been overheard. Kind gestures from children to elderly and elderly to children had been witnessed. These are the greatest achievemnts of our SSDB project thus far!
