For this year’s SSDB project, the children visited Pearls Hill Care Home and got their hands busy as they participated in a series of activities together with the residents. The children went down to the centre for several times, and each time they would be engaged in different activities. For the first visit, the children participated in a planting activity together with the residents. In conjuction with the theme on recycling, the children made use of 2litre milk bottles as the pot for their plants. The children pasted tapes of various prints on the milk bottles to decorate it, before adding in soil and seeds. The planted seeds will be permanently placed at the care home as it grows, and it can beautify the care home when the flowers blossom! (Note: please do not re-publish the photos on any other social media platforms due to confidentiality of the residents of the care home. Thank you!)
