At MY World @ Hougang, our Kindergarten children participated in the President’s Challenge, Start Small Dream Big Project. With the theme, ‘Small Hearts Warm the World’, the children were inspired to contribute and do their part for the elderly at Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home.
The children used their creative juices and little fingers to create pebble art as part of their fundraising efforts.
The children were elated to receive generous donations from the parents through the sale of the pebbles. The funds raised were used to purchase food and medical supplies for the elderly.
On the day of the visit to Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home, the children were full of excitement to perform songs and present gifts to the elderly. Through the children’s heart warming performances and interaction with the elderly, the children were glad to see the smiles on the elderly faces.
The children understood that even as a young child, they could bring joy and love to others. May the spirit of love continue to stay within the hearts of the children and spread it to people around them!
