As we are celebrating Children’s Day, K1 and K2 children of PCF Sparkletots Blk 309 participated in the Trashion Show organized by the centre.
With this Trashion Show, we hope to raise children’s awareness of our environment and the importance of recycling, reusing, and reducing trash. Hence, children are encouraged to come up with inventive methods to repurpose wastes into something wearable. It’s an amazing opportunity for both parents and children to interact and enjoy each other’s company while making the costume.
A photo liking contest is held online prior to the Trashion Show. This is done in order to find the Most Liked Costume Awardee. Respondents in the online voting are the children’s family members. There are also special awards such as Best in Runway Walk, Teachers’ Choice Award and Seniors’ Choice Award.
The Trashion Show was held on October 6, 2022, at Senior Care Shunfu, where the children gracefully showcased their costumes. The children also performed a dance exercise for the ahmas and ah gongs afterwards.
Collectively, the children were mostly creative and innovative with their wearable costumes since they knew it would be a pretty great and unique treat for the ahmas and ah gongs. During dismissal, the ahmas and ahgongs were impressed by the children’s costumes!
