Our Centre invited the lovely Ms Janet from Sayang Hijau to conduct an upcycling workshop turning plastic takeaway packets into cute little keyrings!
These keyrings were easy and fun to make! They were a hit with both children and teachers!!
Materials Required:

Plastic takeaway packet

Sharpie markers (and permanent coloured markers will do)

Cartoon templates!

Oven
Step 1.
Provide children with a piece of plastic! Get them to design or trace over a template of their favourite cartoon character!
Step 2.
Colour it in! Feel free to add more designs as your please.
Step 3.
Put it in the oven and watch the piece of plastic shrink!
Step 4.
Punch a hole and insert keyring.
Step 5.
Taaadahhhh!
The workshop was conducted across N2 to K2 levels!
The children had a ball of a time designing their little keyrings. It was truly a fun and enriching workshop! Not only have we learnt an additional way of recycling plastic, we each got to bring home our own personalised keyring. What a treat!
