Making use of what they have collected, the children used the cardboards to make their very own recycling bins.
3 - 4 May 2018, Thursday- Friday
The children were divided into groups of 4-5 and each group was tasked to make a recycling bin for each type of recyclable.
In their groups, children discussed and came to a conclusion on the design of their groups’ recycling bin.
After which, children worked cooperatively in their groups to create their recyling bins through drawing, cutting, pasting and painting.
Children started by cutting the cardboards into the smaller sizes shapes before drawing their design on it. Children came out with interesting ideas such as dinosaur, robot dog and rocket for their recycling bins.
Children added colours to their recyling bins by painting it.
Children drew the recycling logo and wrote the name for each recyclable in both English and Chinese.
Children then pasted the labels on the respective recycling bins.
It is time for the most anticipated moment that children have been looking forwards to.
