Today’s littler is Tomorrow waste- Let’s do it rightly.
We actively involved all staff, parents and children to pick up good habits to recycle right.
The Plastic Recycling Programme enhance children to keep the environment clean and green, as part of being civic-minded responsible ambassadors of our green nation. Children are invited to bring used collatable and recyclable items such as Soft drink bottles, Mineral water bottles, Plastic milk jugs, Shampoo/body wash bottles, etc. These items are to be deposited into the recycling bins at the school’s Recycling Centre. And also to ensure all recyclables are clean and dry before placing them into the receptacle bags.
Children’s awareness of the need to protect the environment by reducing, reusing and recycling is raised and they are empowered to do their part in caring for their environment.
Experiential learning was also employed to educate and raise the awareness of children towards the 3Rs in our recycling programme.
Children set out in groups to collect recycle plastic item from neighbouring residential blocks for recycling. This first-hand experience allows children to contribute to their community.
We also collaborated with Friends of the Elderly at the care corner on the importance of preserving our environment and invest in our planet earth through the recycling programme.
