As an initial step to advocate zero waste and ways to upcycle used electronic gadgets and recycled materials, the K2 children designed a robot called Wall-e.
Wall-e the Robot is an adapted version of a movie called “Wall-e”. “WALL-E” depicts an Earth in squalor, completely covered in trash left behind by its former human inhabitants. The film, on its own, arguably showcased our planet’s growing problems with pollution and waste.
The children used recycled materials and e-waste such as cables, keyboards, laptop batteries, candles, aluminum foil, toilet tissue rolls, plastic containers, and CDs. They collaboratively worked together in putting up the materials to assemble the Robot.
Wall-e is currently on display outside the centre. Come say hello to Wall-e and follow our learning journey to advocate for zero waste!
