Little ambassadors of Water Saving Exercise embarked on a project.
The toddlers and pre-nursery children designed posters to create an awareness on water conservation during the March holidays.
The toddlers did a poster on the official Singapore Public Utilities Board (PUB) mascot- Water Wally. This poster is done by using different medias of art such as collage, paint and markers. Children designed the posters by tearing paper into small pieces and creating a collage, painting and also foot printing. They had an enjoyable time doing so!
The pre-nursery did an ice cube painting. As it was their first time observing the change in state of water, children were excited and thrilled to embark on the project. Children also shared about their preferred colour on the ice cube they would like to paint with. Everyone had a lot of fun while painting, it was a great bonding session as well!
After a week of hard work, the posters were being displayed at the school’s foyer to educate parents and the residents in the neighbourhood. Little did we expect, the children actually shared about their display to their parents. They were proud of their work, just like how we are of them!
It is true that little things make a big difference. We, the toddlers and pre-nursery children, will continue to take our baby steps into spreading an awareness on water conservation, hoping that one day our voice can be heard, and everyone can do their part in saving water.
Before we sign off, remember…
Water is precious, every drop counts!
