Our K1 & K2 children visited The Kindness Gallery in June 2019. They joined Singa on his learning journey to showing kindness and graciousness towards the people around them. The children practiced using the FIVE MAGIC WORDS as they navigated in the Kindsville - “Thank you”, “You’re welcome”, ”Please”, “Excuse me” and “I’m sorry”.
What should our “Little Helping Angels” do on a bus?
The children dramatized how to be kind in different situation on a bus. For instance, taking turns, greeting the bus captain with a smile, not running in the bus and giving up seats to those in need (a child with injury).
What should our “Little Helping Angels” do when someone is sad?
They were tasked to help the friend who is upset. Our “Little Helping Angels” shared ways to help - such as to cheer her up, give high-five, make her laugh, tell a joke, give her a hug and more! Take a look at their happy faces!
The children then reflected on the people that they are thankful for and wrote their appreciation note.
Let’s be like Singa and show kindness to people around us!
