Have you ever wondered how many germs were there in your surrounding environment? In conjunction with the theme of our project “ Keep Our Planet Save and Clean”. The K1 and K2 were taught on how to maintain personal hygiene, especially in this midst of pandemic. They were introduced to the “Bread Experiment”.
The purposed of this experiment is to find out how germs grow and spread. Besides delivered the message to children the important of hand washing and ways to keep safe from germs in our surroundings.
The K1 and K2 teachers has prepared 3 different slices of bread in separate bag with label.

One was touched with unwashed hand.

One was touched with hand sanitiser.

One was touched with soap and water.
In this bread experiment, they were to observe the changes on the bread for a period of 14 days. They were to record down what they have noticed and observed on the journey journal. They commented that they were surprised to see the “germ” that grew on the bread especially the slice of bread that was touched with unwashed hand. The bread that was touched with soap and water and hand sanitiser remained unchanged.
