The children were eagerly waiting to the unboxing of the SSDB Resource Package. Their excitement grew as the box revealed the items they will receive such as masks, hats, journals, and booklets!
To mark this special day, the children had a pledge-taking session with their teachers in their respective classrooms. Through the pledge, they understood their roles as the Little Agents for Water and Energy Conservation.
The children were introduced and gained awareness of the high importance of water and energy conservation, especially in Singapore, which has limited water and energy reserves. As a good start, they discussed on ways they could use and save water and energy resources wisely.
Here at Al-Muttaqin Mosque Kindergarten, we acknowledged the importance of our parents in their children’s development and education. Therefore, we took this opportunity to create a learning moment between parents and their children. To further impart an understanding and appreciation for water and energy conservation, parents of our Little Agents were given newsletters to work with them in creating a poster or drawing on ways to cherish water. We could not wait to see the contributions!
